Our Story

The story of CCI is not without the people of Masii, South Eastern Kenya and the founders, Stanley and Rose, who also co-founded Tumaini International.

Around 2006,  while Stanley and Rose were busy with ministry work through Tumaini,  people from Masii approached them and asked, "Why don't you start a Church for us?”.

It so happened that the people yearned for a Church where they could worship without being judged or victimized.  Stanley and Rose were hesitant but later felt the Lord calling them to plant a community Chapel in Masii town. They put together a team to pray and discern the next steps, and in the process, Stanley was connected to a young college graduate from Scott Christian University in Machakos, William Maweu, who became the founding pastor of the first church plant- Masii Christian Chapel in late 2008. The Mission of the Church was simple- Knowing Christ and making Him known through the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.
